Mark Singer comes to Feng Shui with over 30 years of successful experience in real estate as a counselor, a new home design ocnsultant, and as a real estate investor. Mark has a BS degree in Business with a major in economics. Kim Bongiorno has over 22 years of successful real estate experience as a real estate investor, home counselor, and a new home design consultant. Kim has a BS degree in Business Administration and Marketing in addition to an Arizona Real Estate Brokers license. Both her and Mark specialize in Residential and Business Feng Shui as well as "Green Building" projects (Healthy Homes).

Mark and Kim first studied Feng Shui with Professor Thomas Lin Yun in 1988. They have also studied extensively with the following instructors and authors: Roger Green, Dr. Jess T.Y. Lim, Lillian Too Alfred Huang, Raymond Lo, Master Yap Cheng Hay, Joey Yap, Eva Wong, and Marcia Small. Currently, they are involved in advanced studies with Master Shyan Tseng, one of the most respected Feng Shui Masters in the world today.

Mark and Kim have been interested in Feng Shui since 1983, when they traveled to mainland China. They started studying about Feng Shui and the Lopan compass after collecting new and antique compasses and sun dials from Hong Kong and China. In the 1980s and early 1990s there were many books written about Feng Shui, but not a lot of teachers available for oral teachings. There was a shortage of competent teachers to present information on Feng Shui in the form of workshops and conferences. It wasn't until 1996 that Feng Shui Warehouse held an international conference in San Diego, which gave students and the general public a chance to become more aware of Pop-Feng Shui, New-Age Feng Shui, and Classical Feng Shui. It was at this time that all forms of Feng Shui started becoming popular in America.

In October 1988, Professor Lin Yun gave a talk in Arizona on the I Ching, Feng Shui, and Chi. After attending the lecture, Mark and Kim decided to invest time and money studying Feng Shui. As you can see below, they have traveled far and wide in the past 20 years to learn from the best teachers, including two more trips to China, Korea, and Tibet. On the following pages you can see the diversity of programs that were attended by the founders of the Phoenix Institute of Feng Shui. Most of the programs they attended concentrated on Feng Shui, the I Ching, and Chinese geomancy, as well as Buddhist studies. When you are deciding what course of action to take in your search for Feng Shui knowledge, it might be a good idea to ask someone who has been down the road over the past 20 years.
